Thread Care Guide
Cotton Thread
- Washing Temperature: Warm or cold water (30°C to 40°C / 86°F to 104°F).
- Detergent: Use mild detergent, preferably non-bleach.
- Drying: Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting.
- Ironing: Can be ironed at cotton setting.
Polyester Thread
- Washing Temperature: warm or hot water up to 60°C / 140 F.
- Detergent: Use regular detergent; avoid bleach.
- Drying: Tumble dry on medium heat or air dry.
- Ironing: Can be ironed on a medium heat setting on the reverse side recommended.
Rayon Thread
- Washing Temperature: Cold to lukewarm water to 45C.
- Detergent: mild detergent may be used on light to medium shades; avoid bleach.
- Drying: Air dry or tumble drying at low heat.
- Ironing: Can be ironed on a low heat setting, with a pressing cloth.
Wool Thread
- Washing Temperature: Hand wash in cool water (below 30°C / 86°F).
- Detergent: Use a detergent made for wool, or a very mild detergent.
- Drying: Lay flat to dry; do not wring out or tumble dry.
- Ironing: Can be steam pressed using a pressing cloth, but avoid direct contact with the iron.
Metallic and Specialty Threads
- Washing Temperature: Hand wash in Cold water (30°C / 86°F).
- Detergent: Use a gentle detergent; avoid bleach and harsh chemicals. Do not rub or scrap.
- Drying: Air dry; do not tumble dry as it can damage the metallic finish.
- Ironing: Not recommended.
